My son, Wyatt, Nonverbal Autism Level 3

Two days ago, we introduced this (see pic). Wyatt struggles using an aac device because it’s hard for him to differentiate between it just for communication and his own play/education iPad, especially at home. He took to it right away! He loves having and making his own choices for snack time! He brings me over, initiates the use of the sheet, points to his choice and giggles. We use it with verbalization prompts too. He will eat a few of one, and then pull me over and make another choice. It almost seems like he’s a neurotypical toddler, going to the snack cabinet and getting excited to eat one of everything! It’s amazing the untapped potential we see sometimes when we introduce choice to a child that’s nonverbal I so love my amazing sweet boy! He surprises me everyday! Just an FYI, I’m about to have choice sheets all over the house, sorry, not sorry!
